Portal scaffolding is a kind of scaffolding produced in factories and erected on site. It is one of the most commonly used scaffolding in the world today. It can be used not only as an outer scaffold, but also as an inner scaffold or full house scaffold. Due to its standardized geometric dimensions, reasonable structure, good mechanical performance, easy assembly and disassembly during construction, safety and reliability, economical and practical features, portal steel scaffolding is widely used in construction, bridges, tunnels, subways and other projects. The lower part is equipped with wheels, which can also be used as an activity work platform for electromechanical installation, paint painting, equipment maintenance, and advertising production.
The erection of portal steel pipe scaffolding generally only needs to be carried out according to the use load and erection regulations listed in the product catalog, without checking calculations. If the actual usage is different from the regulations, corresponding reinforcement measures should be adopted or check calculations should be carried out. Generally, the erection height of portal steel pipe scaffolding is limited to 45m, and it can reach about 80m after taking certain measures. The construction load value is generally: a uniform load of 1.8kN/㎡, or a concentrated load of 2kN acting on the middle of the scaffold.
Portal steel pipe scaffolding is made of common steel pipe materials to make tool-type standard parts, which are assembled at the construction site. The basic unit is a combination of a portal frame, two pairs of scissor braces, a pair of horizontal beams and four connectors. Several basic units are stacked vertically through connectors, and the arm buckles are buckled to form a multi-layer frame. In the horizontal direction, reinforcement rods and horizontal beams are used to connect adjacent units as a whole, and inclined ladders, railing columns and cross rods form an outer scaffold that connects up and down.
Portal scaffolding
advantage:
(1) The geometric dimensions of portal steel scaffolding are standardized.
(2) The structure is reasonable, the bearing performance is good, the strength of steel is fully utilized, and the bearing capacity is high.
(3) Easy assembly and disassembly during construction, high erection efficiency, labor-saving, time-saving, safe, reliable, and economical.
Disadvantages:
(1) There is no flexibility in the frame size. Any change in the frame size must be replaced with another type of door frame and its accessories;
(2) The cross brace is easy to break at the middle hinge point;
(3) The shaped scaffold is heavier;
(4) The price is more expensive;
Adaptability:
(1) Construct stereotyped scaffolding;
(2) Support frame for beam and slab frame (to bear vertical load);
(3) Construct a movable workbench.
